Tri-Town Shelter Services' clients satisfaction survey results

Periodically we circulate a 15 questionnaire client satisfaction form. This not only empowers our clients, but gives them the opportunity to give us feedback to consider how we might support and serve them better. They rate us on a scale of 1 (being poor) to 5 (being excellent). There is also room for them to make written comments. Here is a sample of their comments.

R.D. 2008: It is a nice place to stay and the people are helpful.

M.A. 2008: I really feel comfortable about my stay and the structure is good. Staff are good in what they do and more staff like the ones that are here would be helpful.

R.S. 2008: Staff showed they truly cared and they helped in every way possible. They met my needs beyond my expectations. They taught me how to get back on my feet. I would recommend them to anyone in need. The worst thing is that you can't stay longer.

J.F. 2008: I am a recovering alcoholic and by being here I feel safe. I am in early recovery and by having someone to answer to on a daily basis worked great for my recovery. The worst thing was having to leave. To them I say thank you ever so much.

C.G. 2008: The program helped me to become a sober and stronger person and I will always be grateful.

B.R. 2008: I have to say that the two month stay gave me time to get some direction in my life. The staff are such good hearted people.

Lori 2008: I felt safe and got all the support and resources I needed to get out on my own. Other programs should take a look at how this one is run and take some of the ideas to make theirs better.

Robin 2008: Thank you for giving me a safe and comfortable place to stay. I wish there were more places like this.

Scott: The best thing was the availability to have full access to the faculty and facilities 24 hours a day seven days a week.

D.J. 2008: The best thing was the level of care the staff shows and the living conditions. Having been in other programs this is the best one, hands down.

Mark 2008: I am very glad of the opportunity that the shelter has given me and my significant other. You guys have really been great.

R.L. 2007: The most helpful change in the program would be a longer stay so that clients can adjust to other agencies waiting periods. The staff's ability to be a source of support and help was great.

O.E. 2007: The best thing about the shelter was the right foundation to get back on track with my life and the enormous support I got. I am truly blessed to be here and continue to keep doing what you're doing. Anyone who doesn't benefit from the program is evidently not ready for a change and the enthusiasm it brings.

D.G. 2007: The attention and care I received from the entire staff was the best. Of the other programs I have been in, this one is excellent.

Anonymous 2007: The best thing was the family like atmosphere. The staff members are pleasant and heart warming as people.

Anonymous 2006: Guests are treated with respect, no putdowns. Thank you for your assistance in my time of need. he only improvement I can think of is a larger property to help more people.

D. 2006: The staff openly and professionally gave me information on resources to help me move on. I am so very fortunate to have been allowed to stay here with my son. Thank for everything.

J.H. 2006: This is a great place to start my life over again.

M.A. 2006: The staff are very helpful and informative. I appreciate all the help they are giving me and my family. Thank you for welcoming us with warm and open arms.

A.D. 2006: The structure is good. I have been in two other shelters and I can't imagine a better situation than this.

G.D. 2006: You have helped to put me on the right path in my life.

M.E. 2006: The staff are caring and compassionate and go above and beyond to help someone who is struggling. My stay here has given me my life back. I have a good job now and am ready to move and live on my own. Thanks a bunch.

S.W. 2006: Thank you for being here for me. The way clients are treated builds self-esteem rather than making one feel the "stigma" of being homeless.

V.H. 2006: Just having left rehab, this has been good for me. If anybody can't live here for two months without having to leave they have a problem.

L.H. 2006: The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are always concerned about the well being of clients. The staff are positive and always willing to help.

C.J. 2006: The staff shows a lot of understanding and caring to people who are going through a hard time in their lives. This makes things easier.

Roxanne 2006: I was treated with dignity and respect despite my circumstances. Compassion and caring run deeply at Tri-Town. People genuinely appeared to care and help in every way possible.

L.B. 2005: This place is very nice to be in and the staff are very caring people.

K.H. 2005: I really liked being here. I would like to thank the staff for everything. You are the best. This shelter is run good.

L.H. 2005: The level of staff kindness, involvement and treatment of me were excellent. I was always treated with compassion, empathy, and dignity.

R.S. 2005: Everything was of the high grade of serve. If I could make one improvement it would be to open more Tri-Towns. I will miss the shelter with all my heart.
